LG's WiFi-enabled, DivX-friendly BD390 Blu-ray player now shipping

LG continues to up its game in the Blu-ray department, first shipping the planet's first Netflix-enabled BD deck and now shipping the planet's first DivX HD 1080p certified player. Yep, the BD390 -- which was originally unveiled back at CES this year -- is now making its way out to eager consumers, boasting an 802.11n WiFi module and support for DivX streaming from a DLNA server. The pain? $399.95, but at least that includes BD-Live support, 7.1-channel audio output, 1GB of inbuilt memory and a USB 2.0 socket.

Not that we haven't seen plenty of LG's BD370 Network Blu-ray Disc player ourselves, but if you've been toying with the idea of claiming one as your own, you owe it to yourself to pick up the phone and dial up your local Best Buy. First the Samsung BD-P3600, next the striking B7100, and now this -- what's next, Best Buy? Panny's 0.33-inch NeoPDP?

LG's BD300 Netflix / Blu-ray deck ships next month for $399.95

We hate to say we called it, but our complete in-the-dark guess of just under four C-notes was right on the money. LG has just announced that it's BD300 Network Blu-ray player (and Netflix streamer) will begin shipping to national retailers (Best Buy, Circuit City, Bass Pro Shops, etc.) next month (as in, a month later than initially anticipated) for $399.95. Not the cheapest BonusView-enabled deck in the mix, but given the Netflix functionality tossed in on the side, we can still see quite a few folks joining the BD camp with this one. Matter of fact, we'll just go ahead and ask -- is this your ticket into the Blu?
