Inteset's Movie Collection adds Blu-ray support

Niveus' Movie Gallery is pretty nifty, but if you thought Inteset would allow its own movie management software to sit idly and collect dust, you've got another thing coming. The firm's proprietary Movie Collection, which enables users to sift through ripped DVDs and see metadata, now supports the one remaining next-gen high-def format. Reportedly, the newly revised application will scan the inserted DVD or Blu-ray Disc and then "retrieve full profile information from Inteset's updated movie database." Users can also complete look-ups with UPC code and movie title information, and best of all, the upgrade is free for all existing Inteset Media Center PCs.

Inteset unveils ultimate media server: 15TB TeraRAID XV-NAS

When 8TB just isn't enough to shack up all your media on, look no further than Inteset. This firm has just unveiled one of the craziest NAS servers we've ever seen, with 15 hot-swappable bays armed with 15TB of storage space. The latest beast in the TeraRAID family is obviously AV focused and comes in a 5U enclosure perfectly suited for racks. Additionally, the system comes pre-configured to play nice with the company's Media Library, and of course, the internals are built to handle multiple high-bandwidth video streams. If you're ready to get serious about media storage (and deplete your bank account), you can snatch this one up for $14,495 (or snag a 7TB version for $10,995).

Inteset's Vana VA6420-Si media extender system gets Blu-ray

Back when the format war was still a-brewin', Inteset saw fit to offer up Blu-ray / HD DVD combo drives on its media PCs. Now that said war is behind us, the firm is plugging Blu-ray drives into its Vana VA6420-Si media extender system. The device, which can also be used in standalone form, enables users to bring content from varying locales within the domicile to a central home entertainment center, and aside from the 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 2GB of RAM and GeForce 8400GT graphics card, you'll also find 7.1-channel audio outputs, a slew of video ports including HDCP-compliant DVI / HDMI and even an option for a CableCARD tuner. Unfortunately, we've no idea how pricey this rig will be, but with specs like that, we can't imagine it being cheap.

Inteset stuffs HD DVD / Blu-ray combo drive in media PCs

Currently, there's just not a whole lot of options when you're scouting a pre-fabricated rig that does both HD DVD and Blu-ray on a single optical drive, but adding one more to mix certainly helps. Enter Inteset, which has just announced that an HD DVD / Blu-ray combo drive will be an option in the firm's Maximus and Denzel media server systems. The machines will reportedly come loaded with CyberLink's PowerDVD Ultra software, support 7.1-channel surround sound, and sport an array of ports including audio in / out, DVI / VGA / component / S-Video, USB, FireWire, and antenna inputs for the TV tuners. 'Course, since the company recommends that you "contact a dealer for pricing," you should assume that this here HTPC won't run you cheap.
