DISH Network calls first to 100% MPEG-4 {Engadget HD}
Aug 26th 2008 10:02AM Really? That is crap. I like the notion of their turbo HD package, but can't pull myself to switch because they don't seem to have to many channels available for that package. Now if they had an entry level and I could go up from there I'd be more interested that's for sure.
DISH Network calls first to 100% MPEG-4 {Engadget HD}
Aug 26th 2008 9:47AM This is why competition is a GOOD thing IMO... Now, if we could only see this type of arms race aimed towards internet speeds, the circle would almost be complete!
Ask Engadget HD: What's the best "bedroom" HDTV? {Engadget HD}
Aug 20th 2008 12:50PM IMHO, I'd go with a 32" since the prices have fallen and you could get a 720p set and not need to worry about 1080p. Anything smaller and I'd always second guess the decision not to get a tiny bit bigger of a set. I almost got a 26" for my bedroom and I'm glad that I didn't, but that just my opinion though.

Aug 12th 2008 9:22AM FYI, they are spending their cash like it's on fire because they are 2-3 years from being completely out of oil... That's why they are trying to make themselves the vegas of the middle east, so they can have tourist coming to visit and then they can make some money post oil.

Aug 7th 2008 10:44PM Netflix, and redbox thank you! Can't beat $1 for a movie rental when I can't wait.
It takes plenty of equipment to produce the Olympics in HD {Engadget HD}
Jul 30th 2008 3:56PM Olympics? That's still around? Seriously I could care less about the events as a whole, plus I don't care to support the corrupt chinese government. I'd rather beat off with sandpaper...
Toshiba working on a netbook / UMPC that's actually interesting {Engadget}
Jul 24th 2008 12:37PM Looks nice,and it's also nice to know that fingerprints come standard with it too. I'd like to see a slider keyboard though, since it would wear out the screen in no time with it doubling as a keypad IMO.
