Disney Keychest to make buy-once view-anywhere movies a reality with Apple's help? {Engadget HD}

Oct 22nd 2009 9:05AM sounds like a great idea. if Disney can tackle this and make it easy for consumers. it would be AMAZING

Giorgio Armani and Samsung unveil Windows Mobile smartphone... with a little help from Steve Ballmer {Engadget}

Oct 9th 2009 11:09AM you know what... at the end of the day, it is still yet another Windows Mobile powered device. and.... probably stinks. i'll stick to my Blackberry and iPhone.

GE shows off 1TB holographic discs but Wolf Blitzer remains skeptical {Engadget HD}

Oct 2nd 2009 1:17AM sounds great to me. disc storage with massive capacity. really neat. this could help me stop needing so many external hard drives.

New Digital Copies on the actual Blu-ray Disc from Sony exclusively for the PSP {Engadget HD}

Sep 30th 2009 1:20PM it would be a great advancement to allow computers with BD players to do digital copy like the PSP/PS3

but... i don't want it limited to sony products, i'd love to get this on my mac as well. Apple please embrace BD properly and keep doing the digital copies, but make it even better. who needs to waste extra plastic dvd discs?? let em put it on the BD instead.

HD channel expansion roundup {Engadget HD}

Sep 30th 2009 12:43PM Directv is really starting to suck ... when other cable and sat co's are launching new national channels, all they have been doing is adding more local spot coverage. ie Lexington, KY.

Cmon Directv... you are really starting to lag!!

The CEA asks the FCC if CableCARD is helping to spur competition {Engadget HD}

Sep 22nd 2009 1:50PM Well, the cable industry has stonewalled CableCard, and once it got launched, they launched the really viable version Tru2Way which would actually provide service that most end users want.

Then before the cable companies are forced to support Tru2Way they are lobbying to cancel this program??? i am amazed and astonished at how gullible they think the FCC and public are.

This is about nothing more than the monthly revenues the cable co's want for receiver boxes, if those are lost, they expect to be able to charge monthly Cablecard fee's ... this is only about income. never mind how much these companies are forcing end users to pay extra for HD content.

Make Cable Co's support Tru2Way and make the cards available widely. Instead they make consumers push hard to get them. and even now the CableCards can't do PPV and other content, for that and VOD you need the forthcoming Tru2Way cards.

FCC to propose new net neutrality rules disallowing data discrimination {Engadget HD}

Sep 21st 2009 3:57PM I am all for net neutrality regarding legal apps and applications and data. Skype, Slingbox and etc.

But... I really don't see a problem blocking or significantly slowing illegal filesharing networks which transfer pirated music and movies. sorry, no legal right there to protect that.

Apple TV junkies left out of new iTunes Extra special features {Engadget HD}

Sep 11th 2009 5:56PM squid, you kidding me?? apple has been generous with apple tv? cmon dude, i love mine, but it is getting a bit long in the tooth. very few advancements to make it up to date.

Where are is the compatibility with:
1- Netflix on Demand
2- Amazon on demand
3- hulu

the apple tv could be an amazing device, if apple didn't cripple it into only working with itunes content.

also, the apple tv with its software updates is a bit less reliable and needs to be rebooted frequently.

New Blu-ray laser from Sharp burns triple, quad layer discs but can't cut red tape (yet) {Engadget HD}

Sep 11th 2009 5:32PM i love the idea of this. but am pretty much disappointed at all the blu-ray companies not making blu-ray recorders for the us market. seems like everywhere but here. as for 100GB discs. could make a great computer data backup disc. ie photography, music and video people would love

Poll: What's better than the return of football to our HDTVs? {Engadget HD}

Aug 15th 2009 11:16PM i guess the pre-season is good for tv, but reality is most teams use it for prep, and it isn't as interesting or meaningful to watch.

so... its just ok, but baseball is kinda fun this time of year.
