Warner reintegrates HD DVD faithful with Red2Blu trade-in program {Engadget HD}
Apr 22nd 2009 11:27AM Does anyone have the list of the Warner Bros movies that qualify for this? Or is it literally anything they released on HD-DVD?
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts text unreadable on SDTVs, no fix planned {Engadget HD}
Nov 7th 2008 7:25AM I canceled my preorder on this game after I played the demo. I have a 568P (EDTV, essentially) plasma, and it has a good picture for what it is... better than DVD in either respect. But man, this game was the first game I've ever played where I had a problem reading the text (in the demo, anyway). It was aggravating, considering this whole game is text. For such a outgoing-ly cartoony game, for Rare to make such a small text size is ridiculous. I'm glad I canceled the preorder :)

Jul 28th 2008 12:17PM @JDS... you're worse than Nfinity. And, if everyone just ignored his posts, you wouldn't have this problem. But nope, JDS and others spend hours of their day denouncing Nfinity. What purpose, what resolve? I just don't get it. It's just more sh!t I have to scroll through to read legitimate posts instead of 3rd grade namecalling.

More research asserts that Blu-ray adoption isn't apt to surge soon {Engadget HD}
May 15th 2008 7:49AM @JDS:
Surely, with your 12 years experience and probably some education way way back, you remember SOMETHING about statistics?
32 sample points is considered enough to model a normal distribution accurately. Thousdands of data points is so much information, a statistician would die for that much data.
And here you are, having no idea what a sample data set even is.
Are you living in your parents' basement? Let's be honest here.
Every comment you say, makes me respect NFinity more and more. You should really stop posting!

May 15th 2008 7:40AM You have no idea how much you insulted yourself with this post, JDS, lol. You just propped NFinity up.
And it's AMAZING how little of you know basic economics. Yes, Sony and other manufacturers are willing to "shoot themselves in the foot" for higher profits. It's called a monopoly. And any new technology brand is willing to milk early adopters for what they're worth.
But I can't explain it all to you... if you don't know basic economics, I just wish you didn't post utter subjective nonsense and then follow it by "you're stupid" lol.

May 7th 2008 1:25PM Wow, if those PS3 vs. XBox360 screenshots actually are an indication, then I definitely see the difference. I couldn't load the videos, because I'm at work.
As for me... I have the XBox360 version, and it's a great great game. But I plan on taking it back for a new copy, because I'm having some game freezing glitches that I guess some of the first burned copies had. Some friends haven't had a single problem. Hopefully a new copy fixes this for me.
I still want to know why people HATED Halo3 for "only" being 640P, but now when it's 720P vs 640P, people now say the 640P is better.... I just don't get people.
Microsoft releases one more Xbox 360 HD DVD player update {Engadget HD}
Apr 8th 2008 8:21PM @Jove... I think you may be the biggest loser yet. You can read through worthless posts by both Nfinity AND temp1, but yet your final conclusion is that Nfinity is nuts. May God have mercy on your ignorant soul.
At temp1, I think it's well documented that Resistance and Motorstorm were really the only two games at launch and nearly through the first year that were any good... with Motorstorm selling more from draught of games than because it was worth anything.
At Nfinity, you're right the XBox360 has less variations than the PS3... but Sony is known for screwing their customers. And you're absolutely right that fanboyism goes 10+ years deep with them.
For me, I have an XBox360 right now, and plan on eventually buying the PS3 once it becomes a reasonable price (I bought the XBox360 Premium for $280 when it first came out). I've yet to have any problems with it, and it's not loud at all. I have a feeling the fanboys just read webpages while in their basements, and regurgitate useless "facts" to make themselves sound smarter. It's really sad.
And for PS3, besides its ugly appearance, it's a very quality-made machine. Even though Microsoft's customer service is better, you can't get around the fact that the XBox360 had severe technical issues that are just finally getting fixed (fortunately I haven't had a problem, knock on wood!). I know I'll be picking up Ratchet&Clank, and Drake. Besides that, though, there's not much else good until Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out... and with how much dialogue/speech will be in that game, I'm hoping they don't butcher it like they started to with their previous games (which were still fun, BTW).
I just don't understand why you people can't be objective about products... products are concrete, and therefore you can be objective with them. Each have pros and cons, which I think both of you have mentioned to some degree. But you keep going at it with a 3rd grade mentality that I'm pretty sure people are getting sick of.
Nielsen VideoScan High-Def market share for week ending January 27th, 2008 {Engadget HD}
Feb 1st 2008 4:14PM Um... if I'm reading correctly, HiFiFreak said $120 and 7 free movies? And with movies cheaply at $20 a pop, that makes the player free. And until the player breaks, the movies can always be watched. And by the time the player dies, downloads and online media will be around, rendering players obsolete. And yeah, when he buys the BluRay 2.0 player down the line, for
