Gamestop shenanigans sell open games as 'new' {Joystiq}
Mar 26th 2007 12:41PM Count me among the people who don't see what the big deal is. Last Saturday, I went to a Gamestop and bought Kingdom Hearts 2. It was their last copy, so I ended up with the display box. The next day, after I realized I wasn't going to like it, I swapped it for something else. No big deal.
While I can certainly hate with everyone else their practice of sticking those stickers right on the box, I can't fathom why people would be intolerant of their main form of protection from shoplifting.
If you try just for a second, I think you can find something infinitely more reasonable to complain about, besides them taking one or two copies, gutting them, and using them for display boxes.
