Nov 12th 2009 12:39PM my thoughts exactly minus the uncharted part. i checked facebook, twitter, last.fm and even browsed around the zune marketplace for a bit. i literally haven't checked any of them again since the day i downloaded them. this is the first update in a while that really adds only extra stuff that i probably won't use. i still need to rent a 1080p movie from the zune marketplace though.

Nov 12th 2009 11:37AM these avatar items must be selling at these prices since ms is continuing to use this pricing structure. of course i say that about games on demand too but those are simply the msrp of games. i will continue to speak with my wallet and not buy these. as badly as i want a dallas cowboys jersey i am resisting. the only avatar items i have are FREE ones from halo waypoint.

on second thought, having my 360 on all the time just to watch tv probably wouldn't be that good for it and would just increase the odds of RROD.

Oct 13th 2009 11:51AM yeah others are reporting the same thing. i think the microsoft point cards are showing up as gift cards at the register rather than video game accessories therefore they do not qualify. supposedly some are saying if you can find any of the older point cards in the plastic packaging, those are working for the buy 2 get 1 free. but again the gift cards that are just on the shelf (aka not in any packaging) will not work.

game developer #2: "that is great idea. it would give added value to our from the consumer's standpoint. or at least those consumers who actually care about their avatar."
microsoft: "why give avatar awards away for free when you charge for them on our avatar marketplace? everybody wins except for the consumer who has to pay money for a digital shirt for their digital character."
game developer #1: "that is a good point. 4 dollars it is for a shirt!"
