Apr 22nd 2009 10:23AM Yeah other than you already have coax cable probably going to most rooms in your house (and coax is cheap too). I wired my house with cat 5 and it's a pain in the butt. This is a good idea. I might use it to expand the network to other areas.

Tuning Adapters coming to Windows 7 Media Center? {Engadget HD}
Apr 4th 2009 7:16PM "According to DrFlick, the next version of the ATI Digital Cable Tuners -- the same one that is supposed to reduce the DRM -- will enable support for the Tuning Adapter (all though he actually called them by their old name, "Tuning Resolver") in Windows 7 Media Center. "
Did you miss type here? Sounds like ATI is making a new version of the cable tuner. Or did you mean the new version of media center will support the current ati tuner?
Niveus goes consumer-level with tantalizing Zone HTPC {Engadget HD}
Apr 2nd 2009 8:15PM CableCard is cool, but it's already being phased out with new cable ideas. But my question is will the Niveus play nice with "my movies" that I have already set up on an HP ex475? I could build something but in pricing your opition it's not bad. A good self built htcp is going to run around $800. Your $1400, but you do have some other add ins. So if I buy a zone will it work my movies, or do I have to change things?

Apr 1st 2009 11:07AM Niveus even says it recommends the HP Smart Media server to help hold additional storage. I wounder how nice it would play with my movies software running on the hp server or if you would need to load up something from Niveus.
