A la carte lawsuit against cable companies dismissed {Engadget HD}
Nov 4th 2009 7:58AM Until we get a la carte channels, I will continue to receive what I want OTA. I cut off my cable 4 years ago and refuse to give them another dime until I get a choice. I only want 4 or 5 channels on cable anyway. Anyone complaining here should vote with their wallet like I have.

Off to see the Wizard? Netflix streaming the classic in HD today only {Engadget HD}
Oct 4th 2009 11:02AM Though I didn't catch the Netflix stream yesterday, I did watch it in blu-ray this week and it looked fantastic for being as old as it is. Watching old films on blu-ray is just awesome, it makes me want to re-watch every old movie again.
Survey says consumer won't pay that much extra for 3D {Engadget HD}
Oct 2nd 2009 5:48PM Yeah I have a house so 12' away is just the way it goes. Obviously I would like a larger screen but just didn't have the budget for a bigger one at the time I purchased it.
Survey says consumer won't pay that much extra for 3D {Engadget HD}
Oct 2nd 2009 12:11PM I still can't see a difference between 720p and 1080p on a 50" tv from 12 feet away, and I don't think I ever will. Contrast and color makes all the difference, unless I'm sitting up close or I have a huge screen 1080p just can't be seen.
I'll have to watch a 3D show without glasses to decide how much I want it. As of now there's no way I'm sitting in front of the tv wearing glasses.
Onkyo mixes HT-series receivers into lineup, confusion ensues {Engadget HD}
Aug 5th 2009 3:51PM Uh dude just run a separate digital audio cable from your cable box or dvd/blu-ray player straight to the receiver. Running it through your tv probably switches the audio to stereo.
Onkyo HT-S7200 and HT-S6200 HTIBs -- new features, same value {Engadget HD}
Jul 29th 2009 10:46AM These are the only systems I recommend to people wanting to spend less than $400-600 on the entire thing. It's just so much better than the Panasonic/Sony/Pioneer HTiB's out there because of the front speakers and subwoofer. However over that price you can probably do better by piecing something together on your own.
