Pogoplug second generation debuts, coming this holiday with enhanced web interface {Engadget}

Nov 20th 2009 11:52AM @Diesel1313 For those who do not like the internet-based idea (myself included), check out TonidoPlug:
http://www.tonidoplug.com/

It is the same hardware as the 1st gen Pogo, but based more for access over your home network (although you can do internet based IF you want to).

Does anyone know if Pogo even gives the option of not using it across the internet?

Welcome to the next Engadget {Engadget}

Nov 19th 2009 10:16AM 1. The layout seems a bit more "vertical" than before.
2. The type looks too small (anyone know the exact font that is used?).
3. It has too much of a Wired feel to it. Not necessarily a bad thing by itself, but overall a bit too formal feeling.
4. The new comment system is a big plus!

Mac Tablet Files: Rumored delay for the rumored device {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 19th 2009 10:00AM I think it would be better for Apple to go for the less expensive but still good looking display so they could price it at a lower price point rather than try to go for OLED. Price is going to be a big issue with a tablet, and the last thing I want to see with one are tablets turning into a "subsidized" item sold through cell carriers.

Poll: How important is surround sound to you? {Engadget HD}

Nov 16th 2009 4:07PM My problem with all surround sound systems I have used is that they all tend to be loud. I need to be able to hear people talking in the movie without waking up half the neighborhood.

I have tried some of the newer sound bars and I like where they are heading. Not as good as a surround system for surround sound, but pretty good sound that handles vocals well.

Dropbox is taking suggestions on new features, vote for resource fork support! {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 13th 2009 2:04PM Boooooo resource forks. I hope they keep it optional only and not by default if they do support them.

Dropbox Votebox lets you decide what they work on next {Download Squad}

Nov 13th 2009 2:03PM If they do resource fork support, I sure hope it is optional only and not set by default.

Dell's Inspiron Zino HD on sale now in America: starts at $229, doubles as an HTPC {Engadget}

Nov 12th 2009 11:56AM It looks a little bit bulkier than a Mac mini actually. Maybe just taller? Would be great to see Engadget do a hands on comparison photo shoot when they can.

Boxee inks deal with first hardware partner: a 'Boxee Box' is coming {Engadget}

Nov 12th 2009 11:53AM heheh, and on the day I just bought a WD TV Live....

Xbox 360 Wireless N adapter is really real, out this week in US for $100 {Engadget}

Nov 10th 2009 5:52PM Wow. That is a rough price to take.
$199 for an XBox ($99 if you took the WalMart $100 gift card option) and then $100 to get wireless? Is it so high because it is "N" and they have a $30 or so one for B/G?

NVIDIA CEO shoots down talk of Intel-compatible x86 chip, says his home is 'all Apple' {Engadget}

Nov 9th 2009 3:27PM That quote is going to kill NVidia in the PC gaming circles...... Uggggh.
