Papa John's selling recovered Camaro diecast, free pizza and charity involved {Autoblog}

Nov 27th 2009 6:14PM For geniuses like Braden who never read the linked material, you can donate directly to the Toys for Tots right on the die cast car order page without even getting a car or the pizza that comes with it.

Spy Shots: Mini working on diesel "S" versions of Cooper, Clubman? {Autoblog}

Nov 25th 2009 4:22PM If this is a bigger engine, like the 2.0 diesel VW engine some of us want, may be outside of US-only (urea needed).

And what the ?

Just saw two post deleted that noted an error in the title. Big deal, we all fail in grammar on occasion, but deleting inoffensive posts that note the error and then not marking the entry as "edited at xx time"?

This coming from a blog that railed on the Crosstour Facebook comments that were deleted?

Spy Shots: Mini working on diesel "S" versions of Cooper, Clubman? {Autoblog}

Nov 25th 2009 4:08PM Maybe a new diesel in the thing? After all, Subaru uses hood scoops for their diesels.

Oh, and title fail.

New York State hiding tax increase behind throwback license plates? {Autoblog}

Nov 12th 2009 9:20AM In Indiana, we use lottery proceeds to subsidize license plate fees. It essentially works out to taking money from people who pay the idiot tax, and the people who benefit the most own the most expensive cars.

In a more perfect world, lottery money would pay for education, and we'd all pay the true cost of our yearly car registrations.

Not surprised by the move in NY to raise fees, as we're seeing fees rise just about everywhere. Unfortunately, when the economy improves, these fees tend to stay at those raised levels.

EPA testing green pavement to clean rainwater runoff {Autoblog Green}

Nov 6th 2009 7:39AM We considered porous asphalt when redoing the lot at my business, but the cost was much much more than just scraping off a layer and slapping some asphalt on.

In Indianapolis, porous concrete and asphalt should be mandatory for all driveways and parking lots, as we have an old combined sewer system. When it rains even an inch or two, the sewers overflow into the local river. This is bad, as it's combined with the good stuff coming from your toilets.

In addition, as water drains more quickly, less salt would be needed in the winter around here.

SEMA 2009: Custom Suzuki Kizashi models impress, upset {Autoblog}

Nov 5th 2009 11:58AM I think they did a good job of toning down the styling enough to make this ride appealing to mass audiences, while still making it appealing to the fringes among us who like the oddball looking cars. As long as it looks just a little bit edgy and performs well, especially with AWD, it should sell really well.

Me, I'm waiting for an AWD wagon version, unless Subaru decides to grace the US with a porky Legacy GT wagon for 2010 or 2011.

Live Blog: Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne presents 5-year business plan {Autoblog}

Nov 4th 2009 12:34PM A diesel Wrangler unlimited with stop/start tech and possibly a 6 speed manual? Where do I sign up?

Subaru loses if Fiat can bring it by the end of next year.
