LG 15-inch OLED TV on sale in December {Engadget HD}

Jun 20th 2009 1:04AM Products for Korea often don't make it outside that country. Japan after that, then the rest of the world? I'll believe global rollout when I can drive down the street and check one out. 15" is too small for anything but a laptop. Even the 30" would only satisfy me as a computer monitor if they got the vertical resolution ≥1200dpi.

I want to hold off on the last Pioneer plasmas but this tech won't be ready for 2-3 years from now.

VIDEO: Bluetooth gains another use, streaming audio from iPhone {Autoblog}

Apr 5th 2009 12:55AM I like the idea of bluetooth for headphones and car audio. Down with cables (if they get the sound quality right). Bluetooth is nowhere near saturating the market. Cars are just getting aux jacks and ipod interface kits. So someone knows of a car or two with the capability before now, so what. I want it in the car I want to drive.

OLED market set to skyrocket in 2011, says DisplaySearch {Engadget HD}

Mar 15th 2009 11:03PM LJ, that's the debate I'm having with myself now. Probably a 7 year wait for 65" OLED at a price that I'd pay ($6,500). If that 10G Kuro had come out, that was the one I wanted to jump on.

It sure would be nice if the OLED news came alot faster. What does this post add?

VidaBox's RoomClient: SE can get you started with HTPCs, no training wheels needed {Engadget HD}

Mar 5th 2009 11:37PM This is the AOpen manufactured XC Cube model number MZ855-II in black. I should know, I'm using one right now.

Band of Brothers Blu-ray set for $34.99 on Amazon, today only {Engadget HD}

Jan 21st 2009 1:35AM I don't even have a Blu-Ray player and I got one. I'll probably pick one up with the next-gen Kuro with "Fuga" processing (for all the SD cable that hasn't gone 1080).

Eyes on with LG's near-production 15-inch OLED TV: come on summer {Engadget}

Jan 15th 2009 11:48PM The "production run sometime this summer" link in the article states this unit is 1,366 x 768, which is not 1080p.

Blu-ray player prices dropped 12% in Q3, still in just 1.7% of US homes {Engadget HD}

Oct 15th 2008 1:25AM That's because only 3.4% of the population have both convinced their wives to buy that 50"+ monitor and care enough to squeeze more definition out of their sets. And only a handful of those folks have heard of EngadgetHD.

I'm keeping my 36" direct view 1080i until I either jump on a Kuro or wait for 50"+ OLED/SED. So no Blu-Ray for me yet. Blu-Ray content is rolling out only a little faster than SACD/DVD-Audio.
