MacBook Pro (mid 2009) in-depth impressions {Engadget}
Jun 18th 2009 3:09PM I wanted to configure these two laptops with the highest possible stuff - hence the SSD option and 8GB of RAM. Moreover, the Dell XPS laptop build qualities are much better than the build quality of the regular laptops Dell makes. If these are considered "low-end" laptops as someone remarked above, I could build a 15 inch or 17 inch laptop for both and see what the price difference is. In any case "low-end" laptops shouldn't have a $1200 starting price. :)
Yes, Vista sucks ass! I would rather have XP Professional or OS X. And DDR3 is way better than DDR2 RAM, but then again there are things the Dell has that the Apple does not; some that a lot may not care about, but still they exist for a cheaper price. I don't know if OSX and DDR3 RAM would be worth the ~ $1100. With the $1100, you could buy a 46 inch flat panel or some thing else (PS3, XBox, Wii, iPhone, Pre, or even a base model 13 inch MacBook Pro).

Difference in configuration is in the memory - 1066 MHz bus for Mac compared to 667MHz bus for XPS M1330. Besides that, everything is almost the same, except for the OS and the logo.
Is the MacBook Pro really worth the extra ~ $1100.00?
PSP Go first hands-on! (updated) {Engadget}
Jun 2nd 2009 6:53PM Yup! It seems like almost every product that is coming out in the market today has those shiny plastic bodies, like the Adamo. Now, if Sony had come out with some thing closer to the concept (http://www.pspblenderblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/psp-concept.jpg) and in brushed aluminum (black, silver; looks classy and is smudge-free), that would be super. Features (or lack of) aside, this thing does not look worth the $.

Jun 2nd 2009 3:38PM I agree. It's pretty ugly and expensive! I'm not too impressed. The quality/workmanship of the area around the screen looks poor as though made of cheaper plastic.
