Hulu to PlayStation 3 browsers: "This video is not available on your platform" {Engadget}

Jun 27th 2009 9:44AM I've been using PlayOn to watch Hulu and about a dozen other streaming sites on my PS3 for a while now. It works just fine. I could never stand watching videos through the PS3's kludgy web browser. With PlayOn everything streams perfectly and I can access just about any streaming site I want directly from the XMB. The newest version even lets you stream local content.

Video: Asus 11.6-inch Eee PC 1101HA to ship in Europe this month {Engadget}

Jun 15th 2009 10:13AM So did they go with the 1.33GHz processor to save power? I'm trying to figure out why this is $560, when the 1000HE is $383 on Amazon right now. Obviously this one has a bigger screen, and (claimed) battery life of up to 11 hours. But the 1000HE is faster (1.66GHz) and nearly as energy-sipping (claimed 9.5 hours battery life).

Am I missing some important difference besides the screen size?

Windows version of boxee open to all June 23rd {Engadget HD}

Poll: Still interested in a connected HDTV? {Engadget HD}

May 24th 2009 4:36PM Weird my comment got all jacked up. The last sentence was supposed to read:

"But none of the products currently on offer come close to what I'm able to do with a sub-$1000 tv, a PS3/Xbox, and an HTPC"

Poll: Still interested in a connected HDTV? {Engadget HD}

May 24th 2009 4:33PM I couldn't agree more. Until these so-called "connected" TVs behave more like network streaming devices, it's kind of a non-starter for me. What's the point of having "widgets" that let me check the weather or see the latest news headlines, but don't let me actually watch TV or movies over my network or the Internet?

Don;t get me wrong, I'd love to see a tv that can do it all. I would even be willing to pay a premium for one that truly did everything I want it to do. But none of the products currently on offer come close to what I'm able to do with a
