TiVo's 3Q results reveal Virgin Media UI deal, new remotes on the way -- but no new boxes {Engadget HD}

Nov 27th 2009 1:00PM I'm perfectly happy with my TiVo HD. If you've seen the competition out there, they're a decade behind. If it works, what is there to fix? Bump the resolution for people with 1080p, get some Hulu support, stick a faster processor in there, put in a terabyte drive and we're good to go.

God of War Collection players complain of freezing issues {Joystiq}

Nov 20th 2009 5:45PM Which is probably why it is saying it is happening to SOME people, and NOT EVERYONE.

Gameloft pulling back on Android development {Joystiq}

Nov 20th 2009 5:25PM Yeah, this is an odd announcement. Android isn't really even out to the masses yet. The most people know about it is the recent commercials about it, they know nothing about what devices it is on yet, or will be on in the future.

Give it a few years, THEN get back to us.

Microsoft compulsively quashes Natal 'impulse buy' rumors {Engadget}

Nov 18th 2009 1:53PM Yeah, it's a bit late into the game to be releasing this. It will take a year or two for developers to pick up steam on this and maybe release a game worth buying. By that time, the next Wii HD and XBox 720, PS4 will be on the horizon.

Even at $50, it'll be too late in this generations lifetime to release it.

Just pack it in with the XBox 720 so everyone has it, and let all devs go nuts with it from day 1.

AMEX DIGITAL's Mac mini Blu-ray drive upgrade kit is not what it seems {Engadget HD}

They were championing it every chance they got back when Microsoft was showing off HD-DVD.

Paradigm ships its Special Edition speakers {Engadget HD}

Nov 2nd 2009 12:57PM I'm not sure what the reasoning behind this is, but a lot of higher end speaker companies also do this as well. Luckily the store a block away from me sell them and I was able to test them out against others and I walked out pretty happy, and I still have them.

Paradigm's SE 1 speaker backs up its value proposition in blind testing {Engadget HD}

Nov 2nd 2009 12:31PM Well, it worked for me ten years ago. I did a test vs B&W and I went with Paradigm. The difference in sound was pretty noticeable for me at the time. So I guess that makes it 1001?
