American Airlines launches online widget to sniff out WiFi-equipped flights {Engadget}
Nov 19th 2009 7:00PM @MRCUR too bad delta is just such a suckass airlines in general. I would know. I've just taken round trips with them. 75% of all my flights with them were delayed. 1/3 of them did not meet the connecting flights. wifi is useless if they cannot even meet their customers' basic needs, which is to transport them from point A to point B.
delta, you suck.
Ask Engadget HD: How do you evaluate HDTVs in-store? {Engadget HD}
Oct 21st 2009 5:30PM still.reprise, thank you for your honesty. I do believe that not all best buys are evil. certainly not all magnolias either. but I think to do a fair demo on a regular best buy is virtually impossible. sure, you can tweak the settings to a more theater like spec. but one also must remember that engadget or someone's coverage that at some best buy stores, they are using a composite hookups to the 720p TV, versus component of hdmi connection for the 1080p TVs, just so they can sell the 1080p TVs better.
with stories like these, you really are better off by studying online via AVS forums like other posters have suggested. narrow the TVs down, and take a look at it in store.
& magnolia did do me wrong, still.reprise. I was going to pull the trigger on the 111fd, it was listed for $2800 or something I think. I saw that on Friday, went back on Monday, price jumped to $4500 and I dealt with the same sales lady, then the general store manager, who said they can cut the diff in half, but refused to match the price i saw few days back. I guess it's the general manager that has the ultimate say in this, but it left a bit of sour taste in my mouth dealing with magnolia. but it all worked out in the end. and I didn't give magnolia my business.....

Oct 16th 2009 12:21PM downgrade your itunes temporarily to 8.1, and wait til you can get webos 1.2.1, then update itunes back to version 9. yes, I know it's kind of a pain, but it's the only way to get it to work with itunes.
or you can try doubletwist. good luck.
Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 update guide: no, no, maybe {Engadget}
Oct 6th 2009 6:13PM seriously, this is the stuff that ms can come up with, on the date of your marketplace release? and 2 out of 3 criteria that they posted, is no, we don't have updates. then when I clicked on the one that said update may be available to you. I get a list of phones, with no release dates? and to top it off, I clicked on the common operator and manufacturer, it then takes me to their generic site with no 6.5 update?
typical fashion on how microsoft handle all windows mobile phones, and at that, a typical, and an utter FAIL.
