T-Mobile: we probably lost all your Sidekick data {Engadget}

Oct 11th 2009 1:38PM It isn't a bad idea, it's just bad implementation. The idea is that your data is in a controlled environment and the phone is just a dumb terminal. Keyword there: controlled. They had no control.

It'll probably take an act of congress to ban loud commercials {Engadget HD}

Oct 9th 2009 5:30PM I don't think product placement is that bad, if anything it adds realism to the program. It always bugs me when they put a peice of duct tape over the apple logo, or if they are drinking "Cora-Cola" or something stupid like that. But like everything, it is best in moderation. When they change elements of the show for the sake of the product it becomes a problem.

I agree with you on the banners however, they are getting out of hand.

Ask Engadget HD: Best home theater setup for gaming? {Engadget HD}

Oct 7th 2009 6:16PM My setup is limited by the fact that I'm in a college dorm. Viewsonic 720p DLP projector connected to a 360 running media center - great DVR solution since University only offers basic cable. I've got optical running from the 360 to computer, using computer as receiver with soundblaster x-fi card, four audioengine a5 speakers. Still need a center channel but its enough to bug the neighbors hah.
