Apr 8th 2009 11:26AM I have IPTV through Telus up here in Canada. I'm happy with the video quality, but the occasional audio dropouts do get annoying.
Maybe it's a good idea for them to take their time with this technology, to be sure they get it right.

Feb 26th 2009 12:10PM I shouldn't have to disguise my IP. I want to be able to legally purchase downloadable content, and I can't. I want to be able to watch streaming tv shows, but I can't because where I live. While there are some options for Canadian programing, but overall, the choices aren't there.
Oh and is it just me or is Global's Streaming Site lame? There isn't even a full screen option for the videos. CBC and CTY allow this.

Feb 25th 2009 1:49PM Streaming options? There are some. Legal Streaming Options? None that I know of. I just keep hoping, that one day Sony will open their PSN video store to Canadian. For now I watch most of my stuff through a streaming site that's far from legal, but I'm just watching TV episodes, and I usually end up buying the DVD box set when it comes out, so I don't feel like I'm stealing from anyone.

Dec 12th 2008 2:23PM Basically the cable companies want you to pay around $100 for a crappy list of HD channels. Why bother really? I can see myself waiting till 2011 before getting any HD channels.

Oct 30th 2008 11:37AM I'm not slaming CBC programming in general. I think the CBC has come a long way from "Front Page Challenge". That show was always a sore spot for me. The show was on forever and it was the more boring thing I've ever seen (admittedly, I was just a kid at the time).
Any news on when The Hour with George Stromboulopos will go HD??

Front Page Challenge in HD. Not so good.
At least they're going to use them for hockey coverage, which the CBC actually makes a profit on.
