Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Wireless speakers impressions {Engadget}
Dec 1st 2009 5:52PM I still use (wired) ProMedia 2.1's for my tv... first with a 27" CRT and now with a 46" LCD... my living room is relatively small, never bothered to install surround sound. They sound great for movies etc.
Sprint cutting up to 2,500 more employees from the payroll {Engadget}
Nov 10th 2009 8:30AM Seriously why not Sprint ads for the Hero? I think Android has more general name recognition than the Pre now, Sprint should cash in on that. At least HTC is advertising the Hero themselves.

Nov 6th 2009 2:35PM Running / gym. I don't want to strap a big expensive phone to my arm when running and have it get sweaty. That's why I have a Sansa Clip...
Verizon's DROID ERIS by HTC does Android and keeps it cheap {Engadget}
Nov 5th 2009 9:09AM What build quality problems have you experienced? I've had the Hero for almost a month and haven't had any screen or other issues.

Nov 5th 2009 9:06AM If this is basically the Hero then it is a very viable option... even though the processor is behind the Droid, HTC has managed to tweak their Sense UI so that it runs very smoothly... Sense w/ 1.5 has many of the features that stock 2.0 just introduced, at they are working on upgrading the Hero (and presumably Eris) to 2.0. Plus some folks don't necessarily want a physical keyboard - less moving parts to have break.
Motorola DROID review {Engadget}
Oct 30th 2009 12:08PM I agree that people are too quick to dismiss the Hero in favor of the Droid. Sure the hardware specs are better, but the Sense UI w/ 1.5 still has advantages even over 2.0; multitouch, more home screens, and HTC has tweaked it so it performs well even w/ the Hero's inferior processor. I like the idea of a Android customization that is officially supported by the phone manufacturer, instead of relying on homebrew skins. I'm definitely not considering returning it for the Droid or Moment. I can't wait for their 2.0 update!
HTC Droid Eris priced at $99 for Verizon? {Engadget}
Oct 28th 2009 4:03PM It looks like it's running Sense, so 1.5 for now, 1.6 in a couple of months hopefully. Note that the Hero (and I assume Eris) actually already has a lot of the features added w/ 2.0 because of what HTC did w/ the Sense UI.

Oct 28th 2009 4:01PM @Dorf "Who needs unlimited voice minutes?"
I do. I use my cell for work, use 2000+ anytime minutes a month (I work from home). Much of it is not mobile-to-mobile.

Oct 28th 2009 3:44PM My Sprint unlimited voice/text/data plan for the Hero = $100
Equivalent Verizon plan = $150 ($100 voice + $20 text + $30 data)
I made up the price difference in less than 3 months.

Oct 28th 2009 11:10AM I have the Hero (w/ Sprint), but hope this sells well... more Android users = more Marketplace Apps (hopefully)!
