ASUS Eee PC 1201HA now on sale in the US {Engadget}
Nov 30th 2009 1:08PM Gotta be honest, I'm really feeling this netbook. I have the 1001HA and even though I've own this for 6 months I'd love to have something with a larger screen even if it means that the battery won't last as long.
The ION version sounds cool, but if I'm going to pay $450 I'd rather have an older C2D notebook with DVD burner, more memory and larger hard drive.
$350 is my limit and at $329, this just might just be up my alley. Found some other great information about the 1201HA here: http://www.netbookreports.com/2009/11/1201ha-asus-netbook-now-available/
Engadget's Black Friday giveaway, part eleven: win a 32GB Zune HD! {Engadget}
Nov 28th 2009 12:28AM 10,000 other comments? Wow - I wish....wish I could get my hands on a Zune MP3 player. I've seen the reviews and all I can think about is how good it would be to actually have one.
Poll: Will you be buying a sub-$100 Blu-ray player for Black Friday? {Engadget HD}
Nov 26th 2009 2:12PM @Jeff Kibuule - You're in the minority. Most people don't have HDTVs, watch HD content or have blu-ray players. It's great that you have a PS3 though.
As far as everyone else goes, cheap Blu-ray players and cheap movies means that more and more people will actually start buying these. The deal I've seen is for a $69 Blu-ray player at onSale.com: http://www.tvlampsnbulbs.com/2009/11/onsale-win-black-friday-contest-for-best-hdtv-deals/
Leaked Walmart ad reveals Xbox 360 Arcade with $100 gift card, $300 HP G60 laptop {Engadget}
Nov 4th 2009 1:45AM Doug....really? Is that funny in that sick piece of flesh called your mind?
Anyway - I'm psyched about the Black Friday deals BEFORE Black Friday. This almost guarantees that there won't be much reason to camp out come late November.
Will that stop people? Probably not, but at least more people will get a shot at something good without the threat of death.

Sears Black Friday ad revealed, we'll be sleeping off our tryptophan hangovers {Engadget}
Oct 30th 2009 11:32AM I had to disappoint anyone but the best deals on electronics aren't going to take place at Black Friday. If you're looking for a digital camera, GPS, digital frame, or netbook --- wait until Cyber Monday.
For those of you looking for an HDTV or home theater are better off waiting until around the Superbowl. Last year, the discounts were deeper than the holidays and you didn't have to worry about any lines. With CES 2010 right around the corner the best deals are still yet to come. 1080p HDTVs have been around for a while so you know that they're going to have to get cheaper since they are going to start pushing 3D, and internet connectivity.
In fact, you can buy a 40" LCD 1080p HDTV for $499 from Best Buy. It's a Dynex, but if you don't want to buy a low end Sharp or Samsung it's not a bad deal.

Netflix, Best Buy deal brings Watch Instantly streaming to even cheaper Blu-ray players {Engadget}
Oct 21st 2009 12:09AM This reply is actually for hexydes but Engadget won't let me reply to him(her). For what it's worth, for the rest of this week Best Buy is selling blu-ray movies for as little as $9.99. You can read more about it here: http://www.tvlampsnbulbs.com/2009/10/best-buy-offering-blu-ray-movies-for-under-10/
Next time you complain about something.....it might help to do a little bit of research first.
Funai, CinemaNow team up to include online video store access in devices worldwide {Engadget HD}
Oct 17th 2009 6:09PM I'm thinking that this is going to help drive prices down below $799 on these kinds of television. The real question is if there will be enough online content to make it a compelling upsell.
Sharp AQUOS LC-52LE700UN impressions {Engadget HD}
Oct 15th 2009 10:46PM When all is said and done, this is the best value in a 50+ inch HDTV. Can you buy a Vizio, LG, Samsung, or Panasonic for this price? Right now, you can pick one up for $1,599 with free shipping: http://www.hdtvbeat.com/lc52le700un-sharp-led-hdtv-1599-free-shipping/2009/10/
If so, I haven't seen it and I've looked at just about every one of them. It's true that this television doesn't have a great online experience, but the amazing part is that all of that can be updated with firmware. Sharp has shown that they are going to make improvements with their new UV2A technology.
All of those bells and whistles may be great, but picture quality is the most important part, how it looks, how it works, and if you're blown away whenever you turn it on.
Panasonic's 50-inch 1080p 3D plasma spotted, watched at CEATEC {Engadget}
Oct 6th 2009 11:54PM The question is how much. How much are televisions like this going to cost and how much content will be available to actually watch on them.
Neo Geo's were really cool and advanced too, but they never caught on.
HP Mini 311 with ION benchmarked: it goes very fast {Engadget}
Oct 5th 2009 8:21PM The problem is that the price is going up once Windows 7 comes out. I believe the price goes up to $479. At $399, this is actually the best value available on a netbook. It has a decent sized battery, and 11.6 inch screen, great resolution and ION means that it'll stream video like it's no one's business.
You can check it out more here:http://www.netbookreports.com/2009/09/hp-mini-311-series-now-available-from-399/
Even better, for a limited time they are giving away the extended 12 cell battery for an extra $49 bucks.
