Will the DTV transition get more people watching OTA television? {Engadget HD}
Jun 12th 2009 1:41PM My house only gets OTA and it seems to satisfy us tremendously. We use the Series 3 Tivo and watch on a 52" Sony. I can switch the receiver input to the HTPC which will allow another couple shows to tape or even watch a third live television broadcast (which has only happened a couple times) Blu-Ray, DVD with great upscaling is available in multiple configuration in the PC and a PS3. The Tivo will allow archiving to the PC, and there is just too much to watch on the internet anyway, but is just a click away. Late night TV syndication has all the crap I would get on the cable stations that I would just channel chase after on the weekends. It didn't make sense to pay that much to watch basically 4 weekends out of the month when I shouldn't be watching TV on the weekend anyway. I sure don't miss it, but I love the savings in the bank.

Apr 24th 2008 10:56AM I agree, I have been on the hunt for awhile. I tried using a PC, but it doesn't have a very high WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor).
