Ask Engadget HD: What's the cheapest way to get streaming internet video on my HDTV? {Engadget HD}
Nov 18th 2009 3:44PM For crying out loud, you can get a LG or Samsung Blu-Ray player that does Netflix streaming for under $150 at Fry's right now. A search on E-bay will reveal cheaper.
Don't need Blu-Ray? Invest in Play-on and one of the newer WD streamers.
Of course, there's also the Xbox 360. The banned ones are pretty cheap these days.

Oct 20th 2009 10:24AM Where do you shop where you can only get a 500GB HD for $100? Fry's, TigerDirect, etc. all offer 1TB or larger USB drives for $100.
I, too, am curious to see how this Patriot will stack up against the WDTV.

Oct 2nd 2009 11:53AM You guys really think people stopped buying 720p sets? During a recession? At what resolution do you think the smaller sets that are still selling are?
I still find it funny that the CE industry thinks normal people are excited about sitting on the couch putting on 3D glasses.

After bigger, thinner and brighter, Samsung planning even faster LCDs for IFA {Engadget HD}
Aug 22nd 2009 10:48PM I hope with all these incremental bumps they finally get it to the point that these displays actually show multiples of 24 fps properly rather than just play interpolate the motion.
On a similar note, when the displays hit 600Hz, they should be able to display PAL, NTSC, ATSC and 108024/25fps without any artifacts. I'm not holding my breath, though.
Onkyo shows pride in its DV-BD507 Blu-ray player with lofty $449 price tag {Engadget HD}
Jul 29th 2009 1:09PM No multichannel analog out on a $450 player? Onkyo seems to be taking queues from Sony's $300 players rather than LG/Samsung or Yamaha/Harman/Denon/Pioneer.
