Michael Bay plans The Dark Knight-style IMAX sequences for Transformers 2 Blu-ray {Engadget HD}

Jul 27th 2009 9:49AM So, you will get up in the middle of the movie and reposition the masks? That is what the dilemma is, not how to get rid of the black bars. I have a front projection system with masks as well and I just watch the Dark Knight without them installed. it sucks for the normal scenes, but is worth it during the IMAX scenes.

Joel Silver On What He Wanted 'Watchmen' To Be {Cinematical}

Jul 20th 2009 10:06AM I will say that I enjoyed V for Vendetta much more than Watchmen as far as the movies go, even though Watchmen was the better graphic novel. So through the power of deductive reasoning, I would have to say that I would like to see a Watchman movie from Silver, and it most likely would be a better movie than Snyder's film.

Silver took a lesser graphic novel and made a superior movie, so yeah, I would be all for it.

Jun 30th 2009 12:39PM I have a hard time classifying those two robots as racist. They portray a lifestyle, not a race. They could have been "hicks" just as easily, but that wouldn't have made them racist against white people, it would have just been a joke about a certain stereotype.

BTW, I know more white guys that act like those two robots than black guys anyways.

The Hot, Wet Movie Trend of 2009: Puking {Cinematical}

Jun 24th 2009 2:01PM The International had a puking scene as well. At the very beginning, Clive Owens partner is poisoned and pukes before falling over. It didn't seem out of place within the context of the film, but it was still a little surprising to see it in that type of movie.

Point/Counterpoint: Letterman's reach for relevance should lay off the kids {TV Squad}

Jun 16th 2009 4:39PM @Zheng Ye - The saying is that a joke that needs explaining is a bad joke, not everything that needs explaining is bad. A scientific theory that needs explaining is a bad theory, see how ridiculous that sounds? An apology is just that, take it or leave it. Oh and for double standards, if they were calling for you to be fired, you would defend yourself, so you to are guilty of a double standard by your definition.

@CJ - You said "Obama let his kids do interview with Entertainment Tonight and such. Does that mean they are opened to attacks and "jokes" if they, for example, had weird shaped noses and slurred speech. Does that mean the media basically has the right to call them sluts?" Yes they can call them sluts, but that would be a horrible joke. What about having a weird shaped nose and slurred speech makes you a slut?

Point/Counterpoint: Letterman's reach for relevance should lay off the kids {TV Squad}

Jun 16th 2009 4:00PM I don't think it is fair to paint Letterman as the old out of touch curmudgeon you try to because of one joke and the overreaction to it. He tells horrible hacky jokes all of the time, and most of the time, the fact that the joke is lame is what makes it funny. This is the same blog that only a few days ago failed to see the humor in Norm MacDonald telling ancient jokes on Conan's show. This is the same blog that called Letterman a genius for skewering Joaquin Phoenix or Spencer Pratt. Get it straight, is he a genius or is he out of touch?

By the way, Sarah Palin could have kept her kids out of the spotlight, much the way her running mate John McCain did during the campaign. She has to understand that when she put her unmarried, pregnant, teenage daughter on national tv that she was opening herself and her family up to this kind of criticism.

One more thing, the joke was bad, but if we fired talk show host for one bad joke, how did Leno stay on the air as long as he did and why is he getting a new show this fall?

Jimmy Fallon has started turning Late Night into his La-Z-Boy {TV Squad}

Jun 9th 2009 2:57PM "The cleanliness of his shorts are not known. I don't know anyone that close to Fallon's staff."

Huh huh, you said staff.
