Ask Engadget: Which mouse is the best mouse? {Engadget}

Nov 10th 2007 2:40PM I have roughly 50 mice from different manufacturers and the decision about which one to use is definately always on my mind. I am constantly looking for a new one but within the last I have settled with a variety of mice from Microsoft. For my wireless needs, I use the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 (Bluetooth). For everyday use, I recently discovered the Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000 (Wired). The wheel is nice and it's got 'forward' and 'back' buttons on the left side which are always useful and quickly within reach. I recently tried out the Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 which is a bit old but comfortable. My only gripe is that the wheel requires a bit of 'strength' to use and it doesn't scroll as easy as the other mice I have. You'd have to try it out to understand what I mean. I also recently bought the Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 which is nice but a bit small. It's not worth the $100 price tag but it does come with a built in 1GB flash drive and it charges via USB (it's a combo Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless mouse). I've tried a couple different Logitech mice and while I *want* to like them, I just don't get the 'feedback' from them that I do with the Microsoft mice.
