Ask Engadget HD: Best headphone setup for a home theater? {Engadget HD}
Sep 23rd 2009 1:47PM Actually, I appreciate that something a little different gets thrown in from time to time. Personally, I think it would get a little tired if every week was a variation on "what's the best TV for under $XXX?"
Also, while it's probably true that he could quickly find something on the net that would get the job done, that's not the question. The question is, AMONGST the things that could get the job done, which will get the job done WELL.
AT&T, Verizon poised to fight FCC's net neutrality stance on the wireless front {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 22nd 2009 5:46PM If the current ecosystem is so favorable for Sprint, why are they the ones mildly supporting Genachowski's proposal while the other players - who you indicate stand to lose business - are against it?

Sep 22nd 2009 4:09PM "If I dont like the policy's of one of the big four, its my choice to leave and take my business elsewear."
That's all well and good, assuming the big four's policies actually differ from one another. Where do you turn when all 4 of them decide to restrict or cripple a certain type of data?
Audi makes subtle changes to its four-ringed emblem {Autoblog}
Aug 27th 2009 10:16AM NSU was far too late to the game (1969) to deserve a ring. That's like arguing that with the addition of Penn State we should suddenly call it the Big Eleven. Not gonna happen.
Onkyo mixes HT-series receivers into lineup, confusion ensues {Engadget HD}
Aug 5th 2009 6:07PM Your question doesn't really lend itself to a clear or concise answer. The other brands you mention aren't necessarily a singular target (i.e. Sony's STR-DH500 is quite different from its STR-DA5400ES) in terms of quality of sound/ performance. I will only say that in my experience, Onkyo generally enjoys a positive reputation among a/v enthusiasts, they offer products from entry level to $1000+, and a consumer considering an Onkyo is likely to cross-shop with any or all of the brands you mentioned.
Ask Engadget HD: What's the best plasma to pick up in 2009? {Engadget HD}
Jul 22nd 2009 2:39PM The real question, as I see it, isn't what set, it's which Panny. In this price range, you're probably looking at either the 50" V10 or the 54" G10. If it were me, I'd probably opt for the extra 4 inches, but you can't go wrong either way.
TiVo HD upgrade program helps you save as much as $100 {Engadget HD}
Jul 2nd 2009 3:13PM How is this being "treated like crap?" You paid for lifetime service on your series 1 or 2 box, and you're getting lifetime service on your series 1 or 2 box. If you want service on another box, fine, but why shouldn't you have to pay for it? The sense of entitlement some people have (looking at you too, iPhone upgrade whiners) is incredible.

May 7th 2009 5:58PM I use a panamax for my modest setup, and I like it. If I was going higher-end, I would have considered PS Audio among others.
Nokia E71x finally coming to AT&T on May 4? {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 21st 2009 9:55AM Why is engadget (and, to be fair, others too) so excited about a phone that has basically been on the market for the better part of a year? I get the FP2 difference, but seriously, hasn't everyone who wanted an E71 got there's by now?
