Sony VAIO UX handheld gets 3G wireless, quad OS, inflated sense of self {Engadget}

Nov 23rd 2009 11:52AM Freaking sweet. I can't believe all those mods to such a tiny machine! A core2duo in such a tight space is gonna be HOT though, but it seems worth it for that much awesome in your hand. (

Wired shows off an Apple tablet-formatted copy of Wired on a fake Apple tablet {Engadget}

Nov 21st 2009 11:14PM I have no idea what any of those replies have to do with my post. I was saying in the general sense of touch interfaces, irrespective of whether or not an Apple tablet ever exists. I dig the blocking of downranked comments, but the front page seems way too cluttered now I think.

Wired shows off an Apple tablet-formatted copy of Wired on a fake Apple tablet {Engadget}

Nov 21st 2009 2:49PM As ridiculous as it is for them to do this, at least it's getting more dedicated research into visual/touch-based interfaces with the web in a non-smartphone sense. Half the reason (besides tiring you out) touch on a desktop is not much more than a gimmick IMHO is that it's just replacing the standard interface (mouse) with your finger. Better standardized formatting for different interfaces would be pretty sweet.

PS3 firmware 3.10 released with Facebook support, 'richer' trolling experience {Engadget}

Nov 18th 2009 12:33PM I really could care less about any of the updates they've pushed out in probably at least a year. Give me .MKV damnit, or at least support for NTFS! I'm freaking sick and tired of 4gb file size limit because they chose to use a system based on 30 year old technology. Or if they'd just unlock the hardware under linux, I'd probably never boot into the main OS again if it could launch games/bd's.

DAMN YOU SONY!!!

Elaborate Heist Nets Thieves 3,000 Unusable iPhones {Switched.com}

Nov 18th 2009 12:11PM Sucks to their ass-mar. But still, several thousand iPod Touches are better than none.

Comcast TV Everywhere launch details: December, free for existing subs, really goes anywhere {Engadget}

Nov 12th 2009 5:42PM "Yes, this does still count against the 250GB monthly cap if used at home and still no word on HD streaming, but within the concept of making content available to subscribers wherever they want to view it, this seems like a good first step."

Boxee inks deal with first hardware partner: a 'Boxee Box' is coming {Engadget}

Nov 12th 2009 11:59AM So long as they don't bow to corporate demands and keep everything we love boxee for, I think it's pretty safe to say this is awesome.

Don't miss this video of Martin Scorsese gushing over Blu-ray at Blu-Con {Engadget HD}

Nov 12th 2009 10:44AM While I do agree with Roger, Larry has a point in that there are certainly some really poor BD transfers, though not any that I've seen or heard of within the last year or so.

Intel shells out $1.25 billion to settle all AMD litigation {Engadget}

Nov 12th 2009 10:42AM Yeah, I'm pumped for AMD finally getting some solid modern chips out the door- right after they get done with litigation over it's new naming scheme with a certain construction equipment co...

Wii-playing police receive slap on the wrist, strict talking to {Joystiq}

Nov 12th 2009 9:35AM You're right, they busted that one drug dealer and everyone else just packed up and went home, crime dropped to 0%. Amazing. Yes, they had NOTHING ELSE to do.

Dolt. These guys should have gotten a drop in rank for such ridiculous oversight- or at the very least made them pay back the thousands of dollars it cost in overtime/undercover/endangerment pay that we tossed to them. Meanwhile the roads could use paving...
