Ask Engadget HD: Best home theater setup for gaming? {Engadget HD}

Oct 11th 2009 11:35AM Did anyone understand what jesse said at all? I couldn't even be bothered to follow such a mess of words.

The Beatles: Rock Band album DLC priced, dated, detailed {Joystiq}

Aug 19th 2009 9:14PM In no world is Metallica more popular than the Beatles. Not only are there legions of older fans, but also younger fans like myself who are devout Beatles fans. That would explain why Paul McCartney is able to consistently fill stadiums on his own, even without the rest of the Beatles. There is probably no bigger band than the Beatles, and I don't think that is going to change for a long, long time, if ever.

Digital TV transition: 12 hours in, how are things going? {Engadget HD}

Jun 12th 2009 4:53PM I was going to say that, but you were too quick! But yeah, no obvious angry mobs in northern Virginia, so I guess there's no problems here.

Did AT&T Rig 'Idol' Voting? {Switched.com}

May 27th 2009 11:39PM Ravensfan, anyone as bigoted as you deserves to be arrested. By the way, the Skins are going to walk all over the ravens this year.

Computers, Video Games 'Infantalising' Our Brains, Says British 'Lady' {Switched.com}

May 14th 2009 9:41AM If she was right, there wouldn't be anyone in college. If she was right, I would be an overweight, stupid loser. Instead, I'm 6 foot 7 and 180 pounds, and I'm a very social college student. Since 98% of kids today play videogames, I think that more people would notice if children's minds were "infantalising."

Poll: Were you / are you planning to buy a plasma? {Engadget HD}

Feb 28th 2009 12:11PM Well, I wasn't going to, but if there's a good price on a 42 inch 1080p after August 09, I'd be on that like white on rice. Need to get stuff for the apartment next year!

It's official: DTV "hard date" moved to June 12 {Engadget HD}

Feb 5th 2009 6:54PM Yeah, I really disagree with Obama on this one. I volunteered and voted for him, but what he's doing here isn't very smart. People that haven't switched by now shouldn't get help paying for the converter boxes - they messed up, and they should deal with it. I don't want to pay to support someone's laziness or stupidity. It's frustrating and ridiculous that people are making this into something bigger than it is, though. Most stations will still switch on Feb. 17, so that's not a problem. Life will go on, I promise you. The world won't end because of this.

Cable Company Replaces Super Bowl With Porn {Fanhouse Super Bowl}

Feb 2nd 2009 8:45AM I wish my local NBC station made slipups like that. It would make watching TV a lot more fun.

Digital TV transition delay bill fails to pass in House {Engadget HD}

Jan 28th 2009 5:06PM The non nobama nation? That means the people that support Obama, genius. If you meant Nobama nation, it's not exactly a death blow. I volunteered for Obama, and I am completely against this bill.
Anyway, I'm glad that this bill didn't make it. It would've done nothing worthwhile, and people have no excuse for not buying a converter box by the 17th.

Digital TV transition postponement all but certain {Engadget HD}

Jan 23rd 2009 12:26AM If people haven't got the message by now, they don't deserve to get it. They've had months to either get the converter boxes or a new TV. They didn't, and that's their own fault. Delaying the date won't change the fact that those people aren't going to switch unless they are forced. People know EXACTLY what is going to happen on Feb. 17, and this date should NOT BE CHANGED.
