Nov 16th 2009 9:31PM I'm assuming these "more than 100 cable TV networks," delivered via antenna are going to be SD, right?
There isn't enough bandwidth between 2-54 along with the current locals for even 2 HD feeds on each frequency.
$5 is okay, but I'll still pass as long as Hulu is free. I think something similar was tried in the DFW area back in 2005/2006 and failed quickly.

Yeah, that's not going to happen.
Plus the basic cable for free idea is stupid, you know how many places within 30 miles of a major city can't get basic cable because it is too rural...a lot.

While even the red/blue 3D is a fun experience on my 100" screen I just don't see this catching on.

Oct 6th 2009 10:02PM Wouldn't they have to "scale up" Blu-ray to more than the 2 shelves on each end of the isle with the Blu-ray players in order to scale down?
I was in my Wal-Mart about 2 weeks ago and they had more Blu-ray than the previous visit...go figure.
