Sky TV has made its
arrival on the Xbox 360 today in prompt fashion, with
live streaming and on-demand video available, and the keen lads over at
Electric Pig already have a preview of the service in action. Their immediate reaction was that the Sky Player interface was "ultra-speedy" and easily navigable using the 360 controller. Streaming at the high-quality setting (alas, there's no HD on offer yet) was also no problem on a 4Mb broadband connection, though they reserve their highest praise for the on-demand content which was pumped through within a couple of seconds of selection and benefits from an "astonishingly well-designed interface." Yep sure has. I wasnt even able to browse the content and now it's disappeared from my dashboard completely

It's a 100% free extra - if you already subscribe to Sky TV and are an XBL gold subscriber here in the UK.

I heard you had to pay even if you are a Sky Subscriber. In which case suck my balls Sky. I'm already handing over over £50 a month, so you can go spin. I'll have Sky Multi room before I ever pay for this and get a fully functioning Sky+ box. but I wont fork out for that either!
If it is in fact free for subbers and gold members then its OK I guess....when they can get it to work

In fact we're both right.
As an existing Sky subscriber the service is free except for the live stuff, they charge £15 for that so people do not get around their multi-room BS.
I'll occasionally look at the freebie stuff but as they already get almost £58 a month out of me they can go whistle if they imagine I am paying any more for my TV.
It's already disappointing that HD content isn't available right now (and I subscribe to that too - and expect it to be free for me when it comes).
