The best HD sports on TV this week
It is very fitting that on a week with not many great football matchups, that the NBA would be kicking off the regular season. It isn't that we're big basketball fans, it is just that we wanted to put up a baseball image and all the ones we could find were boring -- just like the sport itself. But we would like to recognize that for big sports fans, this is the very best time of the year. The time of year when all four of the big sports in the US are all on at the same time. Of course this only lasts for about two weeks because baseball season just can't ever end, but if you can't get enough HD sports, enjoy the following weeks while you can.

What!!! You post the Jazz vs Nuggets over a much better game and two bigger markets in Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets Thursday 7:30 PST TNT.
I'll just ignore that whole basketball is boring comment. Could it be because Tampa doesn't have a team maybe or you just don't like high action sports?

That would be on next week. This runs Thursday through Wednesday from what I've seen. I'm guessing that game will be on it next week.

Read it again, I said baseball was boring.
As for the picks, I don't even make them because I don't know enough about sports. ;)
My friend at HDSportsGuide picks the games I list each week. I have added one or two, but mostly college football games.

Oops. I'm sorry Ben your right. I read it to fast. I totally though you made the list this whole time. Geez now I feel like a jerk. I'm going to go watch the newly added to FiOS NBA HD and try to forget this whole thing happened.

how are Salt Lake and Denver two bigger markets than Portland and Denver? and Portland isn't that much bigger than SLC anyway.
Patrick @ Oct 22nd 2009 6:22PM
sorry, i switched the cities around.
chevelleman @ Oct 22nd 2009 11:55PM
Portland is the 22nd TV Market while Salt Lake City is the 31st TV Market. Thats is a big enough difference to me.

The NO vs Miami game is only broadcast in a very small part of the country. Most of us will get either Atlanta @ Dallas or Chicago @ Cincinnati, both of which will probably be much better games.

No Bears/Bengals game? Come on, Benson playing against his old team he got kicked out of? And who doesn't want to see Johnny Knox run down the field 3 times faster than anyone chasing him?

What about The Lakers getting their rings on Tues. on TNT?

UFC 104 - Ben Rothwell gets to be knocked out by Cain Velasquez and stick around for Machida vs. Shogun. See Karate dominate the light heavyweight division!
