Popcorn Hour C-200 hit with more shipping delays
While the first Popcorn Hour C-200 shipments have hit homes all over (including ours) subsequent deliveries have been slower to arrive, with the second batch finally due to ship right about now, with a delay until October 26th estimated for the next group due to a variety of reasons detailed on the official forums. Of course, we feel terrible for media streamer fans who don't have one yet (even though we have one) keeping a spot open for yet-to-arrive devices, refreshing email looking for a shipment confirmation and trawling forums for updates can be devastating. Unfortunately we can't relate (since we have one) but we'll be sure to get a full fledged review out in the intervening period to let you know just how wonderful things could be.

I am sorry I didn't realize acting like a dick was required when posting an article on engadgetHD.
Peabods @ Sep 30th 2009 4:51PM
Yeah, that was rather dick"ish", wasn't it. Looks like an interesting device, although I highly doubt it would be worth rubbing our face in it just because he has one. If it were a PS3 right at its release I might have been a little jealous, but a Popcorn Hour...not so much! Enjoy it Richard, as it seems you don't have much gear to play with.

I guess everyone has their own opinion but my PS3 has been a great dust collector since I got my PCH.

I generally don't post comments on Engadget threads - However, in attempt to be 'witty' this editor comes across as a childish jerk. Very immature for Engadget to have teen-like 'nah-nah, we have it you don't' editors writing copy for them.
Given Engadget's weak coverage of the PCH A-110 in the past, I don't expect anything truely informative from these guys about the C200. Definately not a die-hard NMT crew by any means.
Anyone mocking the delay of the C200 should understand how aweful PCH handled their ordering process on August 27th, servers crashing, made promises they didn't keep and waiting til the last minute to make excuses as to why people are waiting 60+ days for their orders.
Now the unscrupulous are selling their batch 1 C200's on ebay for $550.
I'm glad Engadget employees editors to taunt their readers.

I received an email confirming that the unit I ordered on the first day available will not be shipped until at least Oct. 26th. The continuing delays are disappointing and I've lost a lot of faith in this company.
If the Qnap NMP-1000 becomes available in the meantime I will cancel my order, otherwise I guess I just have to wait and hope for the best.

i have had one for weeks .. cant even use the thing the first beta firmware was so terrible .. good thing a new firmware is going to be released this week
EvilMerodach @ Sep 30th 2009 8:12PM
PCH has always had a backlog of orders because of the popularity of their products. I had to wait three months for my A-110. It was well worth the wait.
People always whine because our society demands instant gratification and, if they don't get their way, they stamp their feet and threaten to cancel their orders. Please feel free to cancel your order because there's a more deserving person waiting in line right behind you.

He can't help acting that way. Look at his first name.

Interesting... by the time the PCH is available again, the new WDTV should be out, the one with DTS audio & network capability, etc... Sure it won't have a SATA bay for a HD / BluRay player but at $299 vs. $129 (or whatever), I'll take the WDTV (assuming it looks like a decent product).
