Designed to replace a half-dozen remotes in your current setup, the 700 features a color display, rechargeable AA batteries and one-click control of your favorite activities. As with every other new Harmony, this one too can be connected to your Mac or PC and programmed via the internet to control whatever components you rely on -- "from Betamax to Blu-ray" as Logitech so eloquently puts it. Details beyond that are few and far between, but we're guessing the outfit's keeping things as simple as possible here as to not befuddle the target market.

I have a Harmony 670 which I love. I may get this one and sell my old one to a friend who has something like 4 remotes. There are some great things about this remote and the biggest thing is the row of colored buttons on it. That'll help out immensely with my DirecTV HD DVR which uses those buttons a lot. I kind of like the different button layout than the 670 even though I think the 670 has a decent button layout already. I may go play with one at BestBuy and see how it is. The biggest thing why I went with the 670 over the 550 was because of the feel of the buttons.

im sorry till they have bluetooth in the remote i will not buy one. i know they are never going to becasue of their adapter, but forget that im not paying 60 on top of that for just ps3.

Like there's such a HUGE market for a remote with Blue Tooth support. 1 Device out of thousands. Not even SONY themselves have used Blue Tooth for anything else!!! Why drive up the costs even more for something .000001% of the owners would ever use. Now that would be dumb. Blue Tooth is NOT a remote Standard, it was used by SONY because they were to cheap to put in a Standard cheap IR port and decided to use what they already had built into the system. You and those few others that won't buy one because of no Blue Tooth built in is no loss to them. If it wasn't that it would be some other excuse like cost. I lay the BLAME entirely at Sony's feet on this one.

Glad to see the 700 has a non-touch screen. I mostly like my Harmony One - all except the touch screen, where I'm constantly touching/brushing against the wrong virtual button. It is such an annoyance that I went back to my Harmony 880, and put the One in a desk drawer for now. I would have been really stoked if the 700 had a cradle, but I guess 'plugging' it in will work.
