It's taken nearly a month, but finally someone can see
BBC America HD, as the channel has launched on Time Warner Cable in New York City, as part of a channel reshuffling that also brought HSN HD, Headline News HD, Outdoor Channel HD and Turner Classic Movies HD to subscribers. We'll have to check the schedule to see if
Primeval,
Dr. Who and
Torchwood re-airs are on deck for the
original launch slate, but in the meantime we'll just settle for catching
Being Human at its best.
[Thanks, Eric]

If us Brits don't get it yet on BBC HD, then why should you Yanks have it first?

I find it mildly irritating that Americans claim to have won World War II. If I recall correctly, it was Allies who prevailed. Also, if it wasn't for the Russians, you might be sprechen sie deutsch right about now. All of that is besides the point though. BBC is a British corporation, so British viewers should be able to watch all the British-made niceties first. End of story.

Either the Russians or the USA could have ended the war on their own by the time they came into play. The fact that both worked together was just pure overkill. Germany got spanked, hard.

I've been asking Verizon since June 2009 when they are going to convert channel 189 to HD or add another HD channel with BBC HD (I am in the Washington, DC suburbs). NO ONE knows anything and NO ONE will respond to my queries! At least some kind of response would be much appreciated.

When will Time Warner Cable Southern California (So Cal) Los Angeles add BBC America HD? That is the Question.
Huge fan of the Robin Hood Series (as I am sure many here in the states are also) and Season 3 aired in the States just a few weeks ago (even though) Season 3 was shot a while ago and was airing in the UK, I believe in January 09.
Watched the premiere of Robin Hood Season 3 on Sept. 13th on the BBC America SD channel of Time Warner So Cal.
It was an "upres" of the picture (not very well done, if done at all) and an obvious 16:9 widescreen upscale of the picture, but Still Standard Definition, not HD.
I have contacted Time Warner So Cal several times via phone and email / comments.
They direct you to their Channel Lineup website where they post upcoming channel additions
So far no mention of BBC America HD.
Here is my blog link on this matter, hopefully BBC America HD will be added soon by Time Warner Los Angeles.
