Its not taxes. vat here is 14% import duty is 7%uk price £2000 (probably less with shopping around) with vat of 17 %Your quite right about the competition there is and for the same money I could but a quality 1080pprojector.The thing is even with the cost of a flight to the uk and paying the import duty I would still save around $3000.The difference in price is going to panasonic or their dealers.Hence the **** panasonic.by the way the panasonic have contracts with their dealers that prohibit them from exporting.so much for fair competition.
