Was thinking the same thing. Saw Star Trek in a theater this weekend, and it's certainly worth seeing on the big screen, as most big budget summer movies are.... It has a great visual style.
As far as DLP, I'm assuming if the theater doesn't mention it, they're not using it, although my theater is pretty new, and I know they have digital technology, but as far as what they're using exactly, I couldn't tell you.
Regarding IMAX, the closest IMAX is a couple of hours away, so it's not like it's an easy choice for some of us.
But anyway, this is one of the movies that plays well on the big screen.
