That the best design for Sony. Keep it simple and elegant. Now I want to see this puppy in action.

i bet the 240hz will offer a slight improvement with 24p playback and quickly moving programs (hockey), just as it did with the xbr7. but I wonder why sony continues to market that matte finish as a benefit to all their sets. the samsung a&b650's ultra clear panel is still a cut above their whole line-up.

I agree with you Corey. I prefer Samsung finish over Sony's. I just love that glossy finish that Sammy's have. It gives blacks that inky feel.

The Sony 240-Hz feature is one of the worst motion handling technologies I've ever seen. The XBR7 has extreme triple-ball effect and blurs especially while watching animated content.
It's a Samsung world right now--their 120-Hz handling is superior to Sony's. The Ultra Clear Panel really make the picture pop. Also the new Touch of Colour designs are striking to look at. 2009 is going to be a Samsung year.

240-Hz is garbage. My Panny plasma doesn't have any problems handling motion. Not sure why anybody would even consider an LCD in this day and age. 2009 is a Panasonic plasma year.
