i see so many of these small ones, but wonder if any of them can cut it as a cool mini camcorder replacement for HD.

The PQ is pretty good at 720p. The record time is just fine (1 hr) It fits in pocket so its perfect for family vacations. My wife likes using it too.

I don't need to shoot an amateur film with it so I need to pay for all those features.

It is also compatible with the MAC.

I see from all the e-news that the Genius HD520 is supposed to be Mac Compatible, yet when I called their customer support, they told me NO.
