I've never heard of it and have been a DirecTV customer for ever, like 15 years, and have three DVR's in the house. I did some googling and since I am not a member of dbstalk or satelliteguys forum, the best I could come up with was that it was like "Fight Club". The first rule of Fight Club is...there is no Fight Club.

And the CE releases are a kind of beta test release, if you aren't going to do the minimum amount of research to find out about it, D* doesn't want you getting the software as you probably won't follow the correct channels to report issues.
