Just like that, a couple of days after being confirmed, the
Battlestar Galactica Complete Series Blu-ray set is up on Amazon for preorder. Sporting an MSRP of $349.98 (Amazon price: $244.99) it might make the wallet choke but we're pretty sure the three of you that didn't already click over, credit cards out, are the only ones not willing to shell out for what is (hopefully) the perfect way to catch every episode and the extended cut of
Razor.
Cylon pumpkin not included.

No one seems annoyed that this set doesn't include "The Plan" which airs this fall....I think it stinks.
If they wanted to do a complete series set, they should have included what wil be the show's final moment.

Do we know that it doesn't include the plan?

$245 isn't too bad for the complete series. I'm going to end up paying more that whenever my Lost Blu Ray collection is completed. I will still wait for the reviews though, the season 1 HD DVD had very poor IQ and won't bother if this is more of the same.

How could it come with The Plan when that will be released quite awhile after the Blu-ray? I'd rather just get this set ASAP and get The Plan around Xmas, when it'll probably be out.

Hoping to get this for Christmas. Very exciting news.

That's just over $60 per season, eh? Not bad I guess. Cheaper than Start Trek TOS Blu-ray per episode.
I guess I'll wait for the inevitable discounts.

It may be cheaper, but that doesn't make it not outrageous. A list price of $245 would be too high for four seasons of television--let alone the actual MSRP of $350.
Individual seasons might make sense to MSRP at $60 (though frankly $45 seems to be the right balance for box sets), but buying a set should involve a discount. The Blu-ray people are absolutely nuts with the prices they charge.
I know I won't pay more than about $22 for a Blu-ray film under any circumstances, and it's the same for almost everyone I know. They're nuts if they think people will pay more than a modest premium for BD, given the huge restrictions on where you can watch it. Convenience vs. quality is really a wash, and they should be the same price, except for a small fee (~$2) to cover the extra expense of BD production.
