With sequel
Angels & Demons ready to hit theaters in May, Sony Pictures is throwing in nearly a half hour of exclusive extra footage on
The Da Vinci Code: Extended Cut coming to shelves April 28. Codebreakers can look forward to in movie BD-Live chat, a $10 coupon off tickets to the sequel, new director's commentary and a picture-in-picture mode allowing for eight different ways to watch the movie at once, we think fans (and with $700 million+ grossed worldwide there's more than a few of those) will find this hard to pass up.

I thought Angels & Demons was a prequel? I read both books. Maybe I'm wrong here...
Pusta @ Mar 11th 2009 10:21AM
You are correct, Angels and Demons is a prequel
Tom Foolery @ Mar 12th 2009 5:08PM
No it's not a prequel. Angels & Demons was written first making The Da Vinci Code the sequel

Is it a root-kit?
3dpenguin @ Mar 11th 2009 10:59AM
Well it is Sony so it wouldn't be a surprise if it is.

Ok, I bought this when it came out on DVD, and even if it was on some other format other than blu-ray which I'd support, I wouldn't rebuy this movie, even with extra footage, for the $30+ you know SPS will demand... This is an easy pass.
Extra Footage in Hollywood speak = Cut Scenes, Extended Scenes, and Alternative Take Scenes, take a wild guess which ones you'll be getting here.

aha hours of extras plus the $10 off coupon for theatre ticket!!.. efff that imma toss my dvd and go get the bluray ;]

Remember when Hollywood had enough confidence in its new disc formats to not only put a few exclusive features on a release, but to do an entire film release as an exclusive, like The Matrix on DVD? That's what Blu-ray needs: a handful of desirable releases that have some kind of limited period of exclusivity on BD.

They should have an extra feature on gullible people who believe it's real, and then one on the people who debunk it. Have both up at the same time arguing about each point in the movie. :-D

Yeah, but it's fiction. BTW why would anyone want to chat using their brd player?
Kumar @ Mar 11th 2009 10:48PM
Wait, are you talking about the Davinci Code or the Bible? ;)
daveq @ Mar 12th 2009 3:26PM
Can they also embed a movie that doesn't suck?
