I don't understand the benefit of the spin off. Does this mean you can separately invest in Time Warner Cable? Like if Warner's movies don't do well that year, but their cable company does well and having been separated the movie business doesn't bring the cable side down?
Maybe Time Warner is separating the cable because FiOS and U-Verse are taking away a lot of their customers and it won't hurt the bottom line of other projects TW has.
