Just days after AT&T announced that
NHL Network HD would be gliding over to U-verse TV, in flies a report stating that
Viacom and AT&T have linked up on a sweet new deal. Said agreement will enable seven new networks to join the U-verse TV EPG: MTV HD, VH1 HD, CMT HD, BET HD, Nickelodeon HD, Comedy Central HD and Spike HD. The deal also "renews carriage of the MTVN and BETN channels and VOD content featured on AT&T U-verse TV, and provides for carriage of new international channels, including MTV India, later this year." Now, let's wait and see if those monthly rates creep up any after the fact.

MTV HD is actually a separate network from Palladia. My real question is when will MTV HD, CMT HD, and VH1 HD actually air any content in HD? They seem to be just sourcing the exact same video as the SD versions. Widescreen programs end up with black bars on all four sides!

I have MTV HD, CMT HD, and VH1 HD and there is nothing Hd that i seen since i have a few months now, i only seen one show "Real World" in HD just one time only,after that no more HD on them channels

MTV HD shows first-run episodes of the Real World and the Island in HD. They also showed the VMAs. Other than that, it's pretty sparse.

MTV networks idea of HD is maybe 1-3 hours a day. this isn't worth giving them the channel space. they are pretty lame at their level of true HD content

It seem's most of the Viacom channels don't have many hours of HD
