The Furutech Floating Field Damper System
The Floating Field Damper completely solves the biggest problem you never realized you had by star grounding the metal parts in which floating magnetic fields are created by current flow through the connector. A precisely engineered, sprung metal bridge ties the various parts together and shunts the potential to ground, significantly reducing distortion for ultra clean and stable power transfer.
Specially Engineered Pressure Plate and Cable Clamp
Furutech engineers have calculated that the increase in contact area is precisely 17.142%! Our specially designed secure metal cable clamp relieves strain on wire bundles of all sizes.

instead of bitching about the price, have you ever tested the product? Changing the powercord on a unit makes a HUGE difference, let it be an amp, subwoofer, cd and even a TV. It's a shame this site and their writters always end up bitching about high-end pricy products geared towards performance but will drool over the new Tivo/iPhone/etc crap out there.
High-end is about performance, and better products come with a price.

So show me a scientic test that proves that using a "better" power cable improves performance.

When a consumer product costs more than an industrial grade product, clearly you are being ripped off. Yes, the quality of the power signal will make a difference on certain devices, but if it's really that much of a problem, then you need to have an electrician come out and check your wiring, not drop cash on a "better" power cord.
