I live in Quincy which is adjacent to Boston. Quincy's Comcast service currently offers 43 HD channels. My friend lives in Boston (Dorchester) less than 1 mile from my home. Last week I was amazed to find out that he had a significant more (15) HD options than I. Today I discover that his Comcast service now offers more than twice the amount of HD channels than mine yet we pay the same amount to Comcast. I haven't seen a new HD addition to the lineup in at least 6 months. Why is there such a vast difference in the HD selection?

They must be doing this all over. I'm in the SF Bay area, and we received something like 10+ new HD channels from Comcast about two days ago... Bravo, E!, Travel, Toon, Hallmark, Speed, FX, MTV (although it's called something else), and a couple of other channels I don't recall-- I think one is news though. A week prior they also gave us Vs. in HD, which has something to do with sports, hunting and/or golf.

I wish they would push these out to the suburbs of Boston. We still haven't got all the ones they gave to Boston in the last batch (like Bravo HD).
