Project Infinity,
Comcast has -- after
several years of battling -- signed up
Mark Cuban's HDNet and HDNet Movies, plus a free video on-demand package. Specifics on when the channels should go live in your area weren't noted, only that the cable company plans to increase its carriage of the two networks over the next year. Hopefully Comcast subscribers will get a (
non-bandwidth starved) peek at Dan Rather, HDNet Fights,
early movie premieres and more before tru2way and switched digital video roll out, but we can't be sure.

Comcast in the Houston market, which was formerly Time Warner Cable, has had these 2 channels, but they were on a package all by themself for an additional $3.00 per month, wonder if they are planning on charging for these channels in the other areas or drop the charge here possibly?
Guess we shall wait and see here!

These channels are avail in the MPLS market, but they are $5.00/month extra (pkg by themselves). Hope they become part of the n/c HD channels!

My understanding is that they were only available in a few "legacy" markets.
I'm glad to see that they're coming on line, and hopefully it will be soon.

NICE! I always thought that HDNet was a crappy network, but I didn't realize how much I missed it when I switched to Comcast (not willingly) in January.
What's the word on carriage fees? Will Comcast treat this as a "premium" channel?
