Let Engadget trick out your home theater contest deadline extended, ends midnight tonight
Just a quick announcement about our home theater contest: we're extending the deadline until a minute before midnight tonight. Turns out the overwhelming response happened to overwhelm our email server, and maxed out our storage limit. Don't worry, we've sorted the problem -- just make sure to resubmit before 11:59PM EDT tonight if your email bounced. We're sorry for the inconvenience. If you haven't entered yet, check out the details here, first making sure to read the rules here. Good luck!

Is there a way to verify if our submission went through? I got a failure notice the first time, but then forwarded the submission, failure notice, and a comment regarding what happened to the contest again.
Would that be considered an entry or should I resend?
Jason @ Sep 16th 2007 2:09PM
I'm assuming that since I never received an email that my submission went through. Should I re-submit?
Andrew Fujimura @ Sep 16th 2007 5:05PM
I too am curious.
john @ Sep 16th 2007 2:56PM
Why so few comments?

How are you guys gonna extend the deadline on a Sunday? After my entry got bounced on Saturday, I though it was over. You should at least extend it to Monday night so people who read the blog on the weekend when there is usually no new content can have a chance.
Timerider @ Sep 17th 2007 9:48PM
yeah!
Timerider @ Sep 17th 2007 9:44PM
Crap!
I didn't see the returned mail message until today because it was in the junk folder. You didn't give us enough warning. REDO!
Dylan Eckman @ Sep 18th 2007 4:05AM

Any Winner ??
Michael B @ Oct 3rd 2007 11:00PM
So, who's the winner?
Zini @ Oct 17th 2007 9:28AM
Any winner? Any resolution whatsoever?
Wolfnave @ Oct 17th 2007 1:16PM
So..... was this contest a hoax?
C Martin @ Oct 18th 2007 8:39PM
Sure is starting to look that way. That's the problem with contests that AREN'T random draws- the contest organizer never guesses at the sheer number of entries, then can't cope.
Bennett @ Oct 22nd 2007 11:18AM
Well, you say that, but they haven't announced winners to all those contests which WERE random draws, either.
Michael B @ Nov 2nd 2007 12:06AM
"they haven't announced winners to all those contests"
Yes, but this is a pretty good-sized one. Maybe they were underwhelmed by the number of entries, and it didn't get them enough readers? (month-and-a-half from contest, at this point)
Zini @ Nov 9th 2007 12:40AM
Le sigh. Come come, engadget. Man up and make an announcement of some sort.
Bennett @ Nov 14th 2007 12:07PM
Nearly two months since the deadline. As Zini says, man up.
