Starting February 17th (and yes, just in time for the NBA All-Star Weekend). I'm excited about getting it because to me it means more NBA games in HD (which is a beautiful thing on a 60" HDTV).

BTW, if you have DirecTV and have local networks, but not local networks in HD, contact DirecTV and ask them to fill out something called a "waiver request" which may allow you to recieve NY or LA network affiliates. I was only able (or eligible) to get FOX NY in HD. It's not much, but, it's better than nothing. Have you tried an off-air antenna to get your locals? I use a Terk TV32 antenna and I get 70-100% signal on all my locals here in dallas and I am between 45-50miles away from the towers.]]>Feb 8th 2006 5:55PMhttp://enghddev.weblogsinc.com/2006/02/08/tnt-hd-coming-to-directv/http://enghddev.weblogsinc.com/2006/02/08/tnt-hd-coming-to-directv/ Sometimes their movies are in HD and another time they stretch the movie to fit the screen, which means everthing near the edge of the screen becomes elongated aka stretched.
They do this with the series Angel, Charmed and also their weekend Movies.
Somebody needs to tell TNT-HD that is not cool.
